In this current climate, as we change our businesses to support healthy employees and healthy customers, it’s tough to see things getting back to normal and difficult to look forward more than a couple weeks into the future. It’s in times like these, though, that it’s most important to invest in the future of the industry in both knowledge and human capital.

The Colorado Horticulture Research and Education Foundation (CHREF) plays an integral role in encouraging and rewarding top-performing students at Colorado State University and Front Range Community College through scholarships and contributes to needed research being conducted at CSU. Not only are donations to the Foundation helping to secure the future leaders of the industry, but they are also responsible for the most up-to-date science and best practices in the green industry.

Funds for the Foundation are primarily raised through two annual events: the CHREF Golf Tournament and the CHREF silent auction during the CNGA Industry Celebration Happy Hour.

This year’s Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 23 on the Dunes Course at Riverdale Golf Club in Brighton, Colo. More information can be found at www.coloradonga.org.

To donate to the Foundation, contact CNGA at 303.758.6672, info@coloradonga.org, or mail a check to the CHREF, 959 S. Kipling Pkwy, Suite 200, Lakewood, Colo. 80226.
