Contributions Support Horticulture Students & Research

The season is upon us! As we move into the summer, it’s easy to get bogged down and focused on the day-to-day. During these times, it’s important to take a step back and plan and invest in the future of your business and industry in both knowledge and human capital.

The Colorado Horticulture Research and Education Foundation (CHREF) plays an integral role in encouraging and rewarding top-performing students at Colorado State University and Front Range Community College through scholarships, and contributes to needed research being conducted at Colorado State University. Not only are contributions helping to secure the future leaders of the industry, but also are responsible for the most up-to-date science and best practices for all of our members.

Funds for the foundation are primarily raised through two annual events: the CHREF Golf Tournament and the CHREF silent auction, which takes place at the CNGA Industry Celebration Happy Hour.

This year’s golf tournament will be held on Monday, September 20 at the Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colo. Information can be found at on the CNGA website.

We hope you’re having a great season and hope to see you at the CHREF golf tournament.

To donate to the foundation, contact CNGA at 303.758.6672, info@coloradonga.org, or mail a check to the Colorado Horticulture Research and Education Foundation (CHREF), 959 S. Kipling Pkwy, Suite 200, Lakewood, CO 80226.
