The Colorado Horticulture Research and Education Foundation (CHREF) board of directors would like to thank all who sponsored and attended this year’s golf tournament. The amount raised was $9,900 for scholarships and research.

Congratulations to the following teams:

  • 1st place – Welby Gardens
  • 2nd Place – Little Valley Wholesale
  • 3rd Place – DWD Plant Sales

CHREF plays an integral role in encouraging and rewarding top-performing students at Colorado State University (CSU) and Front Range Community College with scholarships, and has contributed to much needed research being conducted at CSU. Not only are contributions helping to secure education for the future leaders of the industry, but are also responsible for the most up-to-date science and best practices for our industry.

The golf tournament, and individual and organizational donations are the main avenues for CHREF funding. We urge you to invest in your future and the future of the Colorado horticulture industry. If you did not attend the golf tournament and want to make a donation to CHREF, you may do so here. The board is interested in hearing from you. Do you have a great idea for research that would benefit your business or the industry in general? What kind of research would you like to see from CSU in the future? The board has the opportunity to propose new research at its annual meeting in December. Please reach out with any recommendations or comments to info@coloradonga.org.
